It is with great pleasure that I recommend Ms. Vicki Hinton as a dog sitter and home sitter. She has watched my three dogs and cat (Scout the Austrian Shepherd, Sukie a Back Mouth Mountain Cur, Diesel our Mastiff mix, and our kitten Kat) multiple times over the last year and a half. It has always been a joy to have her. Our home can be quite rambunctious with the different needs, ages and breeds. Vicki handles it ease never missing a beat!

While searching franticly for a dog sitter I can remember the anxiety I felt. How would I ever find someone to give my animals the individual care I demand for them? Who else in the world would take the time to give them as much attention and exercise as we give them? My husband and I knew immediately during the first interview with Vicki that she was the right person to care for our animals. Be it for an extended period of time or just a weekend or day, we know without any doubt whatsoever the animals are good hands and being taken care of during our absents.

Vicki always comes to our home on time, cheerful and ready to engage with “our kids”. We have always found her to be the upmost in professionalism and respectful of our home. I leave very detailed instructions, and have never been made to feel “silly” regarding the way we treat our dogs.

Our neighbors report seeing Vicki walking the dogs individually (which they love). Neighbors also inform us of hearing her playing in the back yard with our dogs, this is wonderful to hear, and just one of the many reasons we continuously ask her back.

Besides a natural affinity toward animals, Vicki is canine CPR certified, holds the Marin Humane Society Canine Behavior Academy Certification, level two, is a dogTEC Professional Dog Walker Academy Graduate, and frequently attends SF/SPCA canine educational lectures. She seems to always be furthering her education on animal behavior, and sharing her knowledge. To say that Vicki truly understands dogs is an understatement!

Vicki Hinton has stayed in our home and taken care of our two dogs (and other pets including 4 chickens and assorted reptiles) while we were on vacation for a week on two separate occasions. Both times, she did an excellent job taking care of the dogs and our home was in better order when we returned than before we left. The dogs were very well behaved when we returned, indicating that they had received lots of attention from her and been well cared for.
